On June 2nd, World Mission University held an inauguration for the new president of the school. The founder Dong-Sun Lim had stepped down while inaugurating the new president John M. Song to the position (currently the senior pastor of Mijoo Peace Church) as the new president of World Mission University. Dong-Sun Lim presided for this event along with Sae Yoon Kim (Ph.D) who delivered the message. Pastor Sung Hwan Yoon (head of the board) had read the proclamation and handed down the plaque to both Dong Sun Lim (founder) and John M. Song (president).

After giving their affirmation to the school and to each other, Dong Sun Lim along with John M. Song had heard the proclamation for the new president and Steve Lim (vice president of the board) handed an inaugurated plaque to the new president John M. Song. On this day, Hyung Eun Park (senior pastor of OMC) had given his prayer of blessing for this event.

Dong Sun Lim established Oriental Mission Church in 1970, established World Evangelical Mission Association in 1987, founded World Mission University in 1989; serving as the first president and as the head of the board until this day forth.

John M. Song served Oriental Mission Church as the associate pastor from 1977 to 1989. He is currently serving as the senior pastor of Mijoo Peace Church. He has been an adjunct faculty at WMU since 1996 and an adjunct faculty at Azusa Pacific University from 1996 to 1997. He is currently a board member for the National Evangelical Explosion Association, a board member for the Gospel Broadcasting Company, Holy City Movement President for Los Angeles, and serves as head of The Christian Council of Americas Koreans
